The Video Unique Booster window: what is where

The main window is laid out simply. At the top is the header with counters and the menu. Below it are tabs: one tab per project. Inside a tab, on the left, is the rail of sections, and at the bottom is the start bar. This page shows where to click to get to each place.

What the window consists of

There are exactly two parts: the header and the project tabs.

The window has no Windows system frame. It has no title bar with a name either. You can minimize, maximize and close the window with the buttons on the right of the header.

The starting window size is 1155 by 660 points. The window size and position are not kept between starts. Every start opens the window at the same size.

What is in the header

From left to right:

ElementWhat it is
LogoThe picture in the left corner. Clicking it does nothing
Three-bar buttonThe app menu. The button has no label and no tooltip
Search fieldSearch through the settings. An empty field shows the hint "Search settings..."
Balance buttonOne button of two parts and a "▾" sign. Its tooltip is "Balance and daily limit"
Three buttons in the right cornerMinimize, maximize to full screen, close

On the left of the balance button there is the credits icon and their number. On the right there is the video icon and two numbers separated by "/". These are the remaining daily video limit and the daily cap of your plan. Clicking anywhere on the button opens the wallet panel.

The "∞" sign instead of a number means there is no daily video limit.

The preview in the project window spends the daily video limit too. This is true of both modes: the normal one and Express.

Wallet panel

The panel opens when you click the balance button in the header. It has two blocks: "CREDITS" and "LIMIT LEFT".

Below the blocks there are two lines. The first says when the numbers were last updated: "updated just now" or "updated 5 min ago". The second says when the daily video limit resets: "resets in 3 h 20 min".

The panel has three buttons: "Top up", "Change plan" and "All transaction history →". The circular arrow refreshes the balance.

The panel also shows warnings. For example: "Daily video limit reached", "Out of credits", "Credits are running out".

App menu

The menu opens with the three-bar button in the header. It has seven items.

ItemWhat it opens
"App activation"The window for entering the license key
"Global settings"Settings of the whole app. Details on the Global settings page
"Statistics"The count of saved time and money. Details on the Statistics page
"Global integrations"App-level integration cards: "VUB Cloud" and "MCP server"
"Support"The support page in the browser
"About the app"A window with the version number and the "Installation ID" field
"Guided tour"A new tab and the guided tour from the first step

The "Global integrations" item is shown only if at least one card is available.

Project tabs

One tab is one project. The number of open tabs is not limited.

  • The last tab is always a service tab, its label is "+". It has no cross. Switching to it opens a new tab with the project selection screen.
  • The cross on a tab closes the project.
  • Tabs can be dragged with the mouse. The "+" tab stays last.
  • The mouse wheel over the tab bar does nothing. The gesture is disabled on purpose.
  • Double-clicking a tab opens project renaming.
  • A blue dot on a tab means unsaved changes.

While a tab is being built, its content is covered by the text "Building the project tab. Please wait...". This takes about a second.

What a tab shows

A tab shows one of three pages.

Project selection screen. Visible until a project is opened. The tab label is "Select a project" at this time. At the top there are three statistics tiles, below them the "Create project" button, the caption "Below are the projects you have already created" and a grid of cards.

Newcomer screen. Visible in a new project until it has neither videos nor sources. It has two buttons: "Import video" and "Add source". Under them is a link caption "or download a video by link".

Project work screen. The rail on the left, the settings page in the center, the start bar and the results table at the bottom.

Side rail: six sections

The rail is a narrow column of icons at the left edge of the tab. Hovering the cursor slides out a card with the list of pages. Clicking an icon pins it.

There are four ways to unpin it: choose a page in the card, click the icon again, click outside the card or press Esc.

The icons have no labels. The section name is written in the card itself.
SectionPages inside
"MATERIAL""Imported videos", "Sources"
"FRAME""Geometry and framing", "Duration and transitions"
"STYLE""Light and tone", "Color correction", "Texture and detail"
"OVERLAYS""Watermark", "Text", "Template"
"AUDIO""Video sound", "Additional audio"
"OUTPUT""Metadata", "Performance", "Export"

Section names are written in capital letters.

What is under the rail

Below the icons, in the same left column, there are three things.

Project complexity counter. It looks like "×1.00". It shows the total complexity of all enabled settings. The higher the complexity, the lower the video creation speed. Clicking it opens the "Project complexity" window with a table of the "Setting" and "Contribution" columns.

Save button. Writes the settings of the open project. Ctrl+S does the same. While there are unsaved changes, the button is highlighted.

Integrations button. Opens the "Project integrations" window with the "OS integration", "VideoGen", "ClipSave" and "HTTP client integration" cards.

Start bar at the bottom of the tab

The bar sits in the footer of the tab and is visible from any settings page. On its left is the "Start" button.

Before the work starts, a plan of four parts is shown to the right of the button: "Export type and number of copies", "Where to process and in how many threads", "Similarity check", "Where and how to save". Each part can be clicked and opens the matching setting on the "Export" page.

If there is nothing to create, the plan is replaced by "Nothing to create" and the caption "import at least one video".

The "Start" button and the progress ring

Clicking "Start" opens the "Check before start" sheet. Its rows are covered on the Check before start page.

The path from the click to a working bar. The sheet itself is covered on the "Check before start" page.

After you confirm in the sheet, the button label changes to "Stop". A progress ring appears to the right of the button.

The ring fills as the copies get ready. The ring color shows the state:

  • blue - the work is running;
  • amber - the work is paused, for example because of processor overheating;
  • red - the work is stopped.

In endless mode the ring spins, and "∞" stands in the center.

To the right of the ring are the status line and the file counter, for example "File 3 of 240". In endless mode the counter is replaced by "Files done: 12".

Further right are the "CPU", "CPU temp", "RAM", "Disk" readings and the speed block. The readings are hidden if the "Disable device resource monitoring" setting is on.

Is there a separate status bar

There is no separate status bar at the bottom of the window.

The limit and credit counters are in the header. The progress of the work is shown in the start bar at the bottom of the tab. The window has no third place where the app reports its state.

Results table

The results table appears under the start bar. Before the first click on "Start" it is not in the window. One table row is one copy being created.

A detailed breakdown of the columns and statuses is on the Results table page.

How to handle a window without a system frame

You can drag the window with the mouse by any free spot of the header.

Double-clicking the header maximizes the window to full screen and back. The middle button in the right corner of the header does the same.

You can resize the window by dragging its edges and corners.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I see the app version number?

The menu button in the header, the "About the app" item. The window has the "App version" field and the "Installation ID" field. Each field has its own copy button. The "Installation ID" is needed when you contact support.

Why does the mouse wheel not scroll through the tabs?

The gesture is disabled on purpose. Scrolling would reach the "+" service tab, and each click would open a new tab.

Why does the window open at the same size every time?

The window size and position are not kept between starts. The starting size is always 1155 by 660 points.

Where did the "AI processing" page go?

This version of the app has no such page. The "STYLE" section shows three pages: "Light and tone", "Color correction" and "Texture and detail".

What does the "∞" sign in the header mean?

Your current plan has no daily video limit.

How do I quickly find the setting I need?

The search field in the header. Type a word, and the app shows a list of matching rows. The search works by words, not by letters: "threads" finds "Number of local threads". Former setting names are found too. After you choose a row, the app brings the guide cursor to it on its own.

The app opens the rail section on its own, switches the page and highlights the found row.

What do I do if the window turned white and Windows says "Not Responding"?

This case has its own page: App not responding.
